Service Professional (SPF) Accordion Open
Your position is classified as a Service Professional, or SPF for short. Service Professionals are usually hired on a contract basis, which you can read more about in the Conditions of Professional Service document.
Notice of Appointment
The Notice of Appointment, or Contract is now completely digital! You will receive an email asking you to review and accept once your onboarding paperwork is completely processed. For further instructions or questions, visit NAU’s Position Management page.
You will be eligible for benefits on the first day of the pay period following your enrollment if elections are made within 31 days of your date of hire. For more information regarding what benefits are available to you, visit NAU’s Benefits Page.
Paid Time Off (PTO)
Vacation Time
You will accrue 6.74 hours per pay period, this number may change if you work less than 40 hours per week.
Sick Leave
You will accrue 3.68 hours per pay period. This number may change if you work less than 40 hours per week.
Request of Absence (eROA)

ITS has a variety of conference spaces that can be used for meeting spaces. ITS Meeting Spaces
Classified Staff Member (CLS) Accordion Closed
Your position is classified as a Classified Staff Member, or CLS for short. All Classified staff members are subject to a six-month probationary period. You can read more about the probationary period requirements in Policy #2.01 of NAU’s Personnel Policy Manual.
