Video conferencing tools at NAU
The collaborative tools available at NAU make it possible to work with students, faculty, and staff from anywhere. Instant messaging also provides a quick way to get answers and brainstorm with colleagues when you’re not in the same space.
When using video conferencing tools, it is important to test your equipment prior to your meeting time to ensure everything is working properly. Don’t forget to familiarize yourself with the tool itself as well as the meeting space. Please view our training videos or quick reference guides on the video conferencing tools.
Skype for Business
Skype for Business is the primary conferencing and instant messaging tool at NAU and provides multiple collaboration and conferencing features including simple instant messaging, phone calls, recording online conference calls, and screen sharing.
Zoom is an additional web conferencing tool that provides screen sharing, video conferencing, and related online conferencing functionality.
Video Conferencing Rooms
Each year, ITS helps improve the technology in conference and meeting spaces around campus to allow for video conferencing. Many rooms are already equipped with conference phones. For information about the video conferencing rooms available, please refer to the Video Conferencing Knowledge Base article.
