Computer labs
ITS provides high quality computer labs to support NAU’s academic computing needs in a comfortable environment. Information about the Virtual Desk environment can be found on the Remote Services page.
ITS also administers labs utilized for faculty and staff training opportunities. Computers and printers are available in the Cline Library.
Due to COVID-19, we encourage the Lumberjack community to utilize the computer lab in Cline Library. The ITS Computer Lab is still available, but in light of the situation, NAU ITS requires that there are no more than 10 individuals in the lab at once.

Policy Accordion Open
ITS manages the ITS Computer Lab for the training of faculty and staff. While this lab is primarily for our own training purposes, we do allow ITS and other departments to utilize the lab while not in use. Because the lab is located in a security sensitive building, we cannot allow students to use the lab in an academic capacity.
A request to use our labs does not guarantee a lab reservation and we reserve the right to refuse anyone access to our labs.
We do allow food and drinks in our labs; however, we ask to keep all beverages in a container with a lid that prevents spills. We also ask that any other messes be cleaned before you leave.

MyTraining site
If you would like your training to be listed on the MyTraining site and give learners the ability to sign up for your training online, please mention this requirement in the lab request form or email prodev@nau.edu.
If you choose to list your course on the MyTraining site, we ask that you actively manage your session’s attendance via the Instructor Portal. This process includes keeping an up-to-date roster and marking attendance at the conclusion of your training event. Trainees receive a transcript of all attended trainings, so marking attendance is critical to their professional development process.
A member of the LPD team can show you how to access and manage your attendance.
Physical Lab Responsibilities
Prior to the lab reservation, we request that someone associated with the reservation be present for the half hour block before the requested reservation time. During this time, it is your responsibility to prepare the lab for your needs. This preparation time will also be used for assistance in setting up special requests, such as teleconferences.
If you are going to arrive late or you need to cancel your reservation, please contact the ITS front desk as soon as possible so that we may adjust our schedules accordingly.
In order to maintain the cleanliness, security, and functionalities of our labs, we ask that every instructor go through this small checklist before leaving the lab. Failure to do so may result in denial of future lab requests.

- Make sure all accounts are logged out.
