Software for NAU Faculty & Staff
ITS offers support for software throughout the university to help students, faculty, and staff to accomplish the best results in their individual goals. We can guide you through a purchase, provide support to certain software, and offer software for you to use. If you are an NAU student, visit our Software for NAU Students page.
Each NAU-owned machine comes with a set of software applications, provided by the University. There are additional software available for download, remote access, or discounted purchase.

Contact the ITS Service Desk at 928-523-3335, submit a ServiceNow ticket, or email software@nau.edu if you need support with software.
Support Offered by NAU Accordion Closed
ITS applies automatic updates to operating systems and specific software for University-owned devices. Software Support varies depending on your affiliation with NAU, but general support is provided for Microsoft, Adobe, and SQL.
ITS Classroom Support offers support in software installation in classrooms and labs. Contact classroom.support@nau.edu or submit a ticket to Classroom Support to install software or receive classroom or lab support.
ITS recommends updating software as often as possible. Certain software such as Firefox, Java, or even Microsoft Office should not be updated for business use cases. If you are uncertain if you fall into one of these use cases, please contact the ITS Service Desk at 928-523-3335.

NAU Software Licensing provides public domain, volume, and site-licensed software. We strive to provide software pricing at a discount and to distribute software to subscribers as easily and conveniently as possible.
Beyond this, NAU is seeking to create a culture of respect for the intellectual and creative effort of authors and publishers. Because of this, we prefer all purchases and acquisitions to pass through NAU’s Information Technology Services to facilitate an atmosphere of accountability.
