Email and calendars at NAU
Microsoft Exchange, Google Suite, and email distribution information
NAU uses Microsoft Exchange (Outlook) to manage employee email and calendar accounts. All employees receive an Outlook account upon employment at the university.
Students are provided Google accounts for email, calendar, and collaborative services. Faculty and staff can also request a Google account.

Outlook Web Access Accordion Closed
Outlook.com is the new online interface for Microsoft Exchange 365, providing faculty and staff access to email, calendars, and shared accounts from any web browser.
To access NAU email online, users are required to be enrolled in Two-Step Verification. To enroll, go to id.nau.edu.

Microsoft Outlook is available on most mobile devices. In order to connect to Exchange on your mobile device, you must agree to abide by the terms of the existing mobile device policies and the Mobile Device Agreement.

Google Suite at NAU
G Suite for Education at NAU means that students, faculty, and staff can take advantage of the email, calendar, file sharing, and other tools.

Drive Accordion Closed
Google Drive is a lightweight suite of applications that provides you with the ability to create text documents, spreadsheets, presentations, and more, all through your web browser. Google Drive also has unlimited storage space. You can upload and store any file that you want to your account as there is no storage limit or quota.

Calendar Accordion Closed
Google Calendar is a full-featured calendar suite that you can use to stay organized. Schedule meetings with classmates, reminders for important assignments, and create to-do lists to make sure that everything gets done.

Google Sites is a great tool to create custom web pages. Add pictures, videos, and other content to your site.

Groups Accordion Closed
Google Groups allows you to easily collaborate with your fellow students and instructors (if they also use G Suite). Share documents with a group and that document is automatically shared to all members of that group. Manage one group’s membership, instead of managing the sharing permissions of several documents. You can also send an email directly to the group’s custom email address (that you create) and that email will be sent to all members of the group.
