Time and Labor
Individuals who cannot access their timesheets due to accessibility issues should email back and forth with their supervisor to have the supervisor enter the necessary information into the timesheets. Any employees needing accommodation can contact Todd Steen in Disability Resources.
Request of Absence (ROA)
Requests of absence go through the Time and Labor LOUIE Self-Service Timesheets. ROAs are for Benefit-eligible employees to request time off for sick, vacation, compensatory, bereavement, jury duty and leave without pay online. When an employee wants to take time off work, he or she will submit an ROA for up to one year in the future. Upon submission, this request will send an email to their supervisor for approval. These requests will show in the supervisor’s Time and Labor Work Center.

Instructions for Approving Request of Absence
Supervisors of benefit eligible employees approve requests of absence for both positive pay and exception pay employees. They may also assign a proxy to approve in their absence.

Changing or Deleting a Request of Absence
Prior to making any changes to a timesheet, we recommend that the employee and the supervisor have a conversation about the change.
To change a time off request, the supervisor or employee may go into a timesheet and update hours and/or time reporting codes. Once the data has been updated, hit submit to save the changes. After submission, the time will need to be approved.
To delete a time off request, the employee or supervisor should hit the minus button on the right hand side of the timesheet to delete the leave row, then hit submit to save the change. Any approved time off request that has been deleted will be marked with an exception notice on the timesheet to the supervisor. The supervisor may mark this exception as allowable.
