Paid Time Off

Paid time off in the form of holidays, vacation, sick time and bereavement pay.  Staff can volunteer in their community for up to 16 hours a year.

Leaves of Absence

NAU’s leave of absence policies provide approved time off for employee illness or to care for family members. Eligible employees receive up to 12 weeks of paid parental leave.

Education Benefits

NAU offers reduced tuition at the three state universities for you and your eligible family members.

NAU is a qualified Public Service Loan Forgiveness employer. Apply for forgiveness with the help of Savi’s concierge service.

What happens to your benefits when you leave the university

If you leave the university, cease to be a benefit eligible employee, or retire; your benefit coverage will end.  You may have the option to continue benefit coverage under some plans.
