Getting started with ITS at NAU
Information Technology Services plays a critical role in connecting you with the NAU campus, including network, telephones, email, and calendars. ITS helps get you connected and stay informed.
Email & calendars
G Suite for Education is the University’s official student email system.
G Suite is also available to all faculty and staff to collaborate with students in their courses and departments.
Microsoft Exchange powers faculty and staff email, calendars and collaboration.
Exchange is available for NAU owned desktop computers and personal mobile devices.
Telephone & voicemail
ITS supports traditional phones that are equipped with voicemail and conferencing capabilities. Setup and support documentation can be found in the ServiceNow Knowledge Base.
Conferencing & collaboration
Skype for Business is NAU’s instant messaging and online conferencing system.
Skype meetings allow for online collaboration with colleagues on campus and abroad.
Zoom is another conferencing system that provides similar online meeting and collaborative functionality.
Zoom accounts must be requested. Contact the ITS Service Desk at 928-523-3335.

Training & support
ITS provides training on a variety of ITS supported software and services. Documentation on software and services can be found in the ServiceNow Knowledge Base. The Service Desk and the Student Technology Center provide 24×7 phone and service ticket support.
Required Training
New faculty and staff must complete a collection of training courses within the first 30 days of employment. The specific courses depends on your role and the type of access you will have. Check with your supervisor to confirm what is required.
