Spring 2023 Exchange Online Migration
Northern Arizona University will be upgrading the email system on campus to Microsoft Exchange Online, which is a cloud-based environment. This change will occur during the Spring and Summer 2023 semesters.
When to Expect this Change
Keep an eye out for an email from ITS with information and instructions on when your migration date is, and what to do to ensure a seamless transition.
Why is This Happening?
Moving to a cloud-based environment offers a multitude of benefits for the university, a handful of these benefits include:

- Increased support for new Outlook plug-ins and Office 365 tools
What will I need to do?
Windows Users Accordion Open
If you use a Windows PC, you will need to restart your Outlook application by closing the program completely and logging back in using your qualified email credentials.
Mac Users Accordion Closed
If you are a Mac user, you will need to remove your email profile from your Outlook application and re-add your account by logging in with your qualified email credentials.
Outlook for Mobile Accordion Closed
For mobile Outlook users, you will need to remove your email profile from your Outlook application and re-add your account by logging in with your qualified email credentials.
Shared Inboxes Accordion Closed
Once an account has been migrated, you can access a shared inbox in a variety of ways. Below are ITS’ Knowledge Base articles that show step-by-step how to configure a shared inbox after a user is migrated to Exchange Online.
