Updates to LOUIE (PeopleSoft)
Starting on July 28th, 2025, LOUIE will be split into three distinct portals.
Beginning on July 28th, NAU’s LOUIE system is scheduled for a major update, which will introduce new LOUIE portals, each with distinct features. This change comes as a result of PeopleSoft (the technology platform that LOUIE is built on) rolling out technical updates that change the way features are linked together. This means that the ‘Student Home’ and ‘HR Home’ tabs will now require their own login portal.
In addition to LOUIE and LOUIE HR being broken into two distinct login portals, we’re also making the login process to PeopleSoft FMS easier by creating the LOUIE Financials login portal. This portal will be added to our websites and documentation to make logging into PeopleSoft FMS more accessible.
Here’s what to expect moving forward and how to interact with each portal;
LOUIE (Legacy portal)
The previous LOUIE web portal will remain active and operational for student and academic tools and processes. Students can continue to log in to LOUIE with no change to features such as managing classes and majors, requesting unofficial transcripts, viewing financial aid, and signing up for direct deposit for LOUIE financial account refunds.
LOUIE HR
After the 28th, the HR modules previously housed in the legacy LOUIE portal under the ‘HR Home’ tab will now be broken into the LOUIE HR portal. Upon logging in to LOUIE HR, you’ll be able to submit and manage time, view pay and benefits, manage tax forms, and other HR tasks.
LOUIE Financials
For financial representatives, we’re creating the LOUIE Financials login portal, which will route you to the PeopleSoft FMS homepage for completing tasks such as managing expense reports, travel authorizations, cash advances, and more. The PeopleSoft FMS module isn’t changing, but we’re creating the LOUIE Financials login portal for easier access to the module from our webpages.

Each login portal will be available on our LOUIE Overview Webpage for easy access and bookmarking. We’ll also be posting any maintenance notices or update notes on this page.
