Google Services at NAU
Google Workplace for Education houses the Google Workplace for Education applications, which include; Gmail, Google Drive, Google Docs, Spreadsheets, Sites, and more.
Creating a new Shared Google Drive
Users can request a Google Shared Drive by submitting a Shared Drive Request. With Google’s new policies regarding storage for higher education institutions in place, all NAU Shared Drives will have a 100GB ceiling on storage.
For NAU Students:
To access the Google Workplace for Education applications, you’ll need your NAU user ID and password in order to log into your NAU Google account.
To make collaborating with your classmates easier, request a Google Group.
For NAU Alumni:
An alumnus who did not receive an NAU Google account can request one here, or contact the ITS Service Desk at (928) 523-3335
If you attended NAU between 2009 and today, you already have an NAU Google account provisioned to you.
You can use the password tool to retrieve your username and password.
For NAU Faculty and Staff:
Google Workplace for Education supplements the enterprise Microsoft Exchange email environment and provides additional collaborative features.
You must have an NAU Google account to access the Google Workplace for Education applications.
Need an NAU Google account? Use the Faculty/Staff Google Account Request tool.
Due to the collaborative features available, there is a potential for improperly providing access to sensitive or proprietary NAU data. Account holders are responsible for setting appropriate access.
The full policy, including limitations on support for some services, can be found in the Google support policy.
