Spring 2023 Exchange Online Migration


What’s Happening?

Northern Arizona University will be upgrading the email system on campus to Microsoft Exchange Online, which is a cloud-based environment. This change will occur during the Spring and Summer 2023 semesters.


When to Expect this Change

Keep an eye out for an email from ITS with information and instructions on when your migration date is, and what to do to ensure a seamless transition.

Why is This Happening?

Moving to a cloud-based environment offers a multitude of benefits for the university, a handful of these benefits include:

  • Ability to retire end-of-life hardware
  • Increased support for new Outlook plug-ins and Office 365 tools

What will I need to do?

  • Windows Users Tab Open

  • Mac Users Tab Closed

  • Outlook for Mobile Tab Closed

  • Shared Inboxes Tab Closed

Windows Users Accordion Open

If you use a Windows PC, you will need to restart your Outlook application by closing the program completely and logging back in using your qualified email credentials.
