Distribution contains hygiene, spices, cookware, socks, nonperishable food, produce, bread, and cooking demos with recipe kits.

Location: Louie’s Cupboard by the Lumberjack CARE Center (Sechrist Annex)

Parking Information: San Francisco parking garage charges $4 per hour or $16 per day, and other parking lots require a permit.

Grab and Go Bags contain nonperishable food items such as rice, canned fruit and vegetables, canned meat, peanut butter, jelly, and pasta.

What is Client Choice?

• This model allows students and employees to “shop” the cupboard for items they most need and/or want
• It provides a welcoming, individualized, and dignified experience for folks experiencing food insecurity
• The space has been remodeled to resemble a Trader Joe’s market, with storage for shelf-stable, refrigerated, frozen, and fresh foods
• Shoppers receive a shopping basket and have 15 minutes to select from the available inventory
• Shoppers are encouraged to bring their own reusable bag!!

When is Client Choice?

• Every Wednesday from 11:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
• 15 minute appointments are available throughout this block of time
• One person per appointment slot

• Select an open appointment time

Pocket Pantries are mini pantries that hold nonperishable food items, hygiene, and snacks for students who are looking to add to their pantries. Please feel free to grab an item from these pocket pantries.

Locations: Counseling Services, Health Promotion, and the Office of Inclusion

Food Donations: The items Louie’s Cupboard needs include hygiene items, vegetarian foods, gluten-free foods, soups, healthy cereals, and spices.

Drop Off Locations: Lumberjack CARE Center, Get Involved Lounge (UU Rm 104), Cline Library, and the Office of Inclusion.

Host a Drive- Please contact LouiesCupboard@nau.edu to discuss the logistics of the food/hygiene drive you would like to host.
