Today, multiple divisions provide specialized marketing and communications support—each designed to serve specific audiences and goals. Whether you’re planning a campaign, designing materials, or refining your messaging, there are resources available to help.

Academic Affairs Marketing (AAM)

The Academic Affairs Marketing team partners with faculty, staff, and student communicators across the Academic Affairs division to align communications with institutional priorities and student success goals. Through collaboration, consultation, and data-informed insights, AAM supports efforts that enhance enrollment, foster belonging, and strengthen engagement and retention. By bringing colleges and units together through shared strategy, aligned messaging and streamlined processes, the team helps ensure a consistent, student-focused experience—while providing tools, data and practical guidance that make communication efforts more efficient and effective.

Brand and Strategic Communications

The Brand & Strategic Communications team focuses on amplifying NAU’s achievements and elevating awareness of the university’s impact—both internally and externally. Their work supports NAU’s broader reputation and value proposition across Arizona and beyond.

Support for NAU units includes:

  • Project request (content development, design, collateral updates)
  • Design review and brand alignment
  • Promotional item artwork review and approval
  • Logo requests for official unit branding
  • Digital signage (BrightSign) and bus shelter poster approvals
  • Brand and trademark approval

This team also support external entities with advertising requests and permissions for NAU name and logo use.

Printing Services

NAU Printing Services is a full-service, state-of-the-art print shop supporting campus and community needs. With the launch of the Digital Storefront (PrintHub), it’s now easier than ever to order professional-quality materials.

  • Event signage and table displays
  • Apparel (t-shirts, accessories)
  • Promotional items (mugs, tote bags, and more)

Services include:

  • Installation
  • Site evaluation and project coordination
  • Design consultation

Strategic Enrollment and Marketing (SEM)

The Strategic Enrollment and Marketing division works to recruit, evaluate, select, enroll and assist a diverse community of undergraduate and graduate students to NAU. The division is responsible for all enrollment functions, research, analytics, and operations.

Student Affairs Communications and Design

The Student Affairs Communications and Design team supports Student Affairs departments with student-focused outreach and communications. Whether you need help creating student-facing marketing materials, crafting messaging to program participants, or managing NAU brand guidelines, we are here to help! 

Support for the Student Affairs division includes:

Usable Materials Center (UMC)

The ​Usable Materials Center is a resource for the campus community, supporting NAU’s vision to elevate excellence by providing accessible higher education for all. The UMC provides services to ensure course content, digital documents, and videos are accessible for all students and staff.

Services include:

  • Video closed captioning
  • Audio transcription
  • Digital document remediation
  • Digital accessibility consulting and training
