CARE Referral

If you or an NAU student you know are experiencing difficulties that impact ability to succeed, we welcome you to submit a CARE Referral. The CARE Team will assess the referral and reach out to offer support and connection to resources as appropriate within 1-2 business days.

Please note that review of these referrals will not take place outside of normal business hours.

A CARE Referral should not be used if crisis or immediate response is needed. Please call 911 or utilize crisis resources. We encourage you to submit a CARE Referral after urgent needs are taken care of for support and follow-up. The referral can also be completed to share a non-imminent concern regarding campus community safety.

Jacks Care 24/7 offers students free crisis and mental health support. For immediate/urgent concerns, call 928-523-2261.

Faculty who wish to share purely academic concerns should contact the student directly rather than through a CARE Referral.
