C.L.I.M.B. Leadership Series

The Office of Leadership and Engagement and NAU Human Resources are partnering up to bring you the Cultivating Leaders in Motivation and Boldness (C.L.I.M.B) Leaders Series program! A two-session leadership series for student organization officers and all other student leaders. 

Session #1: The Five Paths of Leadership

The “Five Paths to Leadership®” presentation by John Gartin, Director of Learning & Organizational Development at NAU, offers student leaders a comprehensive framework for mastering self-leadership. The workshop will reveal how individuals show up in flow as well as under stress and identifies five leadership styles: Critical Thinker, Relator, Visionary, Warrior, and Sage. This dynamic and intuitive tool helps student leaders understand their leadership tendencies, strengths, and areas for growth, emphasizing the multi-dimensional nature of effective self-leadership, working with other leaders, and the impact of leading organizations.

Session #2: The Philosophy of Leadership

Discover your personal leadership philosophy and build your leadership compass with John Gartin, Director of Learning & Organizational Development at NAU. This engaging and interactive workshop will guide you through the process of creating a personal leadership philosophy, emphasizing the importance of self-assessment, personal experiences, values, beliefs, and principles. Learn how to navigate tough decisions, inspire your team, and lead with integrity. Ideal for student leaders who are looking to make an impact, this session will provide practical tools and insights to help you develop your leadership style that is authentic and effective. Join us for an inspiring journey to lay your foundation towards becoming a great leader!
