Transcripts & enrollment verification information

Northern Arizona University has contracted with the National Student Clearinghouse to provide a convenient web-based method for students and alumni to request official transcripts. Transcripts are processed by the university, but can be quickly ordered and paid for online using a major credit card.

Current students can navigate to log into the National Student Clearinghouse. Non-current students must go through the Clearinghouse Welcome Center to request official transcripts online.

PLEASE NOTE: Electronic copies are encouraged as credit card payments cannot be accepted via email, per PCI (Payment Card Industry) policy. No requests are accepted over the phone. Official transcripts are individually sealed. If a transcript is sent to a student and the envelope is opened, the transcript becomes unofficial. NAU will only issue a complete record on a transcript.

Transcript Pricing and Services:

• Normal Processing –Sent Via First Class Mail or electronic option ($18.00 per copy. Allow 10 business days for receipt).
• Hold for pick up in Flagstaff ($18.00 per copy- allow 2 business days for processing. Transcripts must be picked up within 90 days).
• Rush Processing- Sent via First Class Mail ($10.00 Rush Fee + $18.00 per copy.  Allow 8 business days for receipt).
• Rush Processing-Sent Via FedEx within United States ($10.00 Rush Fee + $18.00 per copy + $20.00 delivery fee per address).
• Rush Processing Sent Via FedEx International ($10.00 Rush Fee + $18.00 per copy + $60.00 delivery fee per address)  PHYSICAL ADDRESS IS REQUIRED BY FEDEX- NO BOX NUMBERS. Transcripts will be sent next business day.

For same day rush pick-up availability in Flagstaff contact Registrar.Transcripts@nau.edu or call 928-523-5490. Same day rush pick-up cost is ($10.00 Rush Fee + $18.00 per copy).

Students can view and print an Unofficial Transcript by clicking on the Academic Record tile in LOUIE and then clicking View Unofficial Transcript from menu on the left, or by visiting any one of the Extended Campuses and presenting a photo ID.

Unofficial transcripts can be requested by completing the Unofficial Transcript Request form.  Faxed or mailed unofficial transcripts cost $5.00 each. Unofficial transcripts can not be sent via email. Unofficial transcript requests take 5 business days to be processed.  Rush unofficial transcripts cost $15.00 ($10.00 rush fee + $5.00 faxed or mailed unofficial transcript fee).

If you have been away from Northern Arizona University for three or more terms and would like access to print your own unofficial transcript you can request a university Gmail account.

PLEASE NOTE: Unofficial transcripts cannot be sent electronically, only Official.  Unofficial transcripts may be sent by Fax or mail.

To verify enrollment, degree, GPA, or consortium status, students can submit a completed verification request form to the registrar’s office, or log into LOUIE and select Enrollment Verification from the Other Academic drop-down list in the Student Center.

Third parties wishing to verify student degrees or past/current enrollment must do so through the National Student Clearinghouse.

Services supplied by the National Student Clearinghouse are in full compliance with all applicable privacy laws and, in particular, the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act of 1974 (FERPA).
