Facility Services Snow and Winter Weather Conditions Information
Snow and Ice Removal
Our Mission Accordion Closed
As the weather gets colder, snow and ice will begin to affect the Northern Arizona University campus. Facility Services’ goal is to remove snow and ice from traveled surfaces in order to provide safe pedestrian and vehicular traffic.
Accumulations of snow and ice will be removed as expeditiously as practical during and after storms within the parameters dictated by weather conditions, available workforce, equipment resources and safety practices.
Staff and students are advised, whenever possible, to move personal vehicles from uncovered parking areas prior to snow events to facilitate prompt and effective snow removal. Vehicle owners will be responsible for any personal vehicles left on campus during snow events. Please note: Facility Services cannot respond to requests to shovel/dig out personal vehicles.
