After Hours maintenance request in a campus living facility or academic building?
- To submit a maintenance request at any time, call 928-523-4227 (we are on-call at this number 24/7)

Update on deskside recycling deployment
- All offices should now have convenient access to common area receptacles (blue bins for recycling, brown for waste/landfill)
- Deskside bins will no longer be provided. If you have one, it won’t be removed. However, liners will not be provided, and the bin should only be used for recycling.
- Going forward, Custodial will no longer provide deskside collection. Office occupants are responsible for sorting and emptying recyclables and waste into the appropriate common area bins.
Planning, Design & Construction
Planning, Design and Construction (PDC) guides development of large projects on the NAU campus and statewide, including yearly project development, project bids, blueprints, renderings, management of construction and opening.
Operations & Maintenance
Operations & Maintenance is responsible for the maintenance and safe operation of NAU campus facilities. We provide a variety of services on campus that establish a functional and safe campus environment that promotes learning, research, and daily operations, with an emphasis in prolonging the useful life of facilities.
What do we do?
- Operate and maintain campus buildings and grounds, as well as managing campus snow removal operations.
- Maintain the campus electrical, custodial, building access, plumbing, general maintenance, grounds, carpentry, and paint operations.
- Train and support our skilled trades professionals, support staff, and student workers.
Utility Services
Utility Services is responsible for the purchase, production and distribution of water and energy on campus. This includes the generation of steam, high temperature hot water, and chilled water at two campus plants for space heating, water heating and cooling of buildings.
Work Control Center
The Work Control Center is the hub of NAU facilities and grounds maintenance – a customer-focused team dedicated to providing our students, staff, and researchers with an excellent environment in which to study, live and work.
