Crisis Counseling resources:

Jacks Care 24/7 is a new service being offered to the NAU community. Students can access free emergency and ongoing counseling support via text, chat, and phone/video by downloading the app or visiting the TELUS Student Support website. Scan the QR code below, access the App Store or Google Play from your phone to download the app, or call Jacks Care 24/7 (866) 656-9983.

Off-campus Counseling options:
This website has a list of therapists in the community, and you can filter the results by insurance to identify counselors that accept your insurance.
Balance Mental Health & Wellness offers lower cost counseling services and has free drop-in services at The Corner.
Psychiatric Services:
Treatment of mental health disorders, often by use of medications, is available both on- and off-campus. Call 928-523-2131 to schedule an appointment with Campus Health Services, or use psychology today listings to identify psychiatric providers who accept your insurance.
Peer Support:
The Mental Health Support Squad (MHSS) is a group of undergraduate and graduate students who are passionate about mental health education, outreach, and advocacy. Squad members are trained and supervised by the staff of Counseling Services and serve as a mental health resource for peers. The MHSS offers free one-on-one peer mental health mentorship and a general mental health support group
