  • Van Training

Eligible drivers must successfully complete a 3-4 hour course to rent a passenger van from the Fleet Services Center. This training covers the safety requirements and hands-on information regarding correct driving mechanisms while handling these larger HOV (High Occupancy Vehicles). There is a $40 administrative fee for this service. Please follow the steps below to enable a faster training experience.

If obtaining van certification for trips or travel, please ensure approval is granted by the appropriate Provost, department Chair or Vice President.

Step 1: Successfully complete BBLearn Course and pass Final Exam

Prior to arrival and registration, one must complete the following prerequisites: BBLearn Class: Van Certification Training and final exam. This online class is essential to the fulfillment and completion of the final exam as it will give you all of the necessary information. You may start the class here. This course should take around 1-1.5 hours to complete.

Step 2: Register and successfully complete Skills Course

After completing the BBLearn course, you can now register to take the skills portion of the training at your convenience. The registration link is here. When registering you must provide payment of the $40 administrative fee to complete the registration. Please also keep in mind that all trainings will start at 1 PM and depending on class size, part two should take approximately 2-3 hours to complete.

We are not authorized to provide parking passes or tickets to those students who are attending Van Training.

NOTE: Participants may not attend skills training if experiencing Covid-19 symptoms and should contact Shuttle to reschedule.
