Tax credit overview
Due to a mandatory change to institutional reporting requirements under federal law, beginning with tax year 2018, NAU will report in Box 1, the amount of tuition and fees paid during the calendar year. In previous years, NAU reported in Box 2 of the 1098-T form, that represented the tuition and mandatory fees that were billed to a student’s account for the calendar year.

To view/accessing 1098-Ts:
- Log in to LOUIE at nau.edu/louie
- Click on “View 1098T Forms” under the Finances section
- Click on the year button to view your 1098-T form
In order to view your form, you will need to have your pop-up blocker disabled, and the most updated version of Adobe PDF viewer. We recommend using the latest version of the Internet Explorer, FireFox, or Chrome web browsers.
