Annual Security and Fire Safety Reports
Northern Arizona University has released its 2024 Annual Security and Fire Safety Reports.
NAU complies with the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act, (commonly known as the Clery Act), a federal statute requiring all colleges and universities that participate in federal financial aid programs to keep and disclose information about crime on and near their campuses.
The reports include Clery reportable crime statistics for the three most recent completed calendar years and disclose procedures, practices and programs the University uses to keep students and employees safe and its facilities secure, which cover topics such as:
- How to report crimes or other emergencies occurring on campus
- Security of and access to campus facilities
- Security awareness and crime prevention programs
- Campus law enforcement and security
- Alcohol and drugs
- Dating violence, domestic violence, sexual assault and stalking
- Obtaining registered sex offender information
In addition, the 2024 Fire Safety Report – a required report for the NAU Flagstaff Mountain Campus, since this campus has on-campus student housing – is being combined with the Clery Act-required Annual Security Report. The purpose of the Fire Safety Report is to disclose fire safety policies and procedures related to on-campus student housing and to disclose statistics for reported fires that occurred in those facilities.
