New Employee Welcome

New employee orientation is required of all new employees and must be completed within 30 days of your start date. Due to COVID-19 we are suspending our in-person orientation and directing all new employees to compete the online version that includes:

Health and Safety Information

Campus Health Services

Campus Recreation Information

 

 

If you are a new benefit-eligible employee, please use the link below to register for our New Employee Welcome and we will email you all the information you need about your benefits, retirement, payroll, and rights and responsibilities as a NAU employee.  After you register for the session, we will schedule a Zoom call with you to help answer any questions you may have.

After you log into LOUIE, search for the course name “New Employee Welcome” and register for the soonest date available.

In addition to New Employee Orientation check for required training specific to your position.

New faculty orientation

In addition to the mandatory part day Human Resources Benefits Orientation, new faculty are required to attend the New Faculty Orientation sponsored by the Provost’s Office and the Faculty Professional Development Program.  Visit the New Faculty webpage for more information and to register for the August event.

Graduate assistant orientation

Graduate assistants employed by the university (whether in teaching, research, or student services roles) are required to attend an orientation provided by the Graduate College each August.

New employee orientation presentation

An online orientation is available if you do not work on the Flagstaff campus or if you have a scheduling conflict with orientation sessions.
