Travel Clinic

Weather you are going for a semester abroad or traveling for business or personal reasons CHS can help you prepare for your trip. Individualized travel advise based on your health status and destination may include:

  • Required and recommended vaccinations
  • Malaria or other illness prophylaxis
  • Recommended medication for common travelers’ illness.
  • First aide recommendations
  • General health and safety information

Vaccines available through NAU Campus Health Services include:

  • Hepatitis A
  • Hepatitis B
  • Influenza
  • Japanese Encephalitis (please give us 48 hours notice to order, if interested in this vaccine)
  • MMR (measles, mumps, rubella)
  • Meningococcal
  • Pneumonia
  • Tetanus
  • Typhoid (please give us 48 hours notice to order, if interested in this vaccine)
  • Twinrix (Hepatitis A & B)
  • Varicella (chicken pox)

                A travel appointment should be scheduled as far in advance as possible since some vaccines are given as a series over a six-month period.
