Time in college is precious. Understandably, most students grab a quick snack on the way to class. However, most vending machine options are not always the best for your body. It may be convenient, but with a little forethought, a packable snack can be just as easy. When loading up your dorm fridge or pantry with snacks, keep in mind that the most filling and satisfying snacks have both protein and fiber. The graphic below displays some of my favorite options for protein and fiber-filled foods. What are some combinations that you would enjoy? My go-to is carrots or celery with hummus or a handful of nuts and raisins. Stocking your dorm room with easy combinations of fiber and protein will make it easy to choose a healthy snack on the go.
