QPR: Question, Persuade, Refer
QPR is an evidence-based training that helps prevent suicide by empowering learners to:
- Recognize mental health warning signs among peers
- Engage in supportive conversation
- Make effective referrals to professional counseling resources
The training takes less that one hour to complete.
Note: QPR is a training that discusses concepts, examples and stories related to suicide and suicide prevention. We recognize that many students have been personally affected by this topic and that it may be emotionally activating or intense for some individuals. Take the course for the first time: Accordion Closed
New to QPR? Here’s how to register for the course for the first time:
- Navigate to: qprtraining.com/setup
- Enter the organization code, NAU-STUDENT
- Select Create Account
- Complete and submit student registration form
- QPR will display and email the newly created Username and Password
- Student can log in to begin training at qprtraining.com
- Print or save your certificate of completion for verification
Anyone with the organization code NAU-STUDENT and an nau.edu email account can create an account
Yearly recertification: Accordion Closed
Need to renew your certification? It is recommended that you retake the course yearly, here’s how:
- Navigate to qprinstitute.com/organization/register?org=NAUSTUDENT
- Use the the registration code: NAUSTUDENT2450573935
- Enter your email, first, and last name
- Select “Register”
- Follow remaining login directions that appear under the “Register” button
