Get involved with our office
If you are in a public health, counseling, pre-med, nutrition, or other related major, consider joining our high energy team!
Health Promotion has a number of ways to get involved with our office. Fill out the interest form below.
Peer Outreach for Student Health (POSH)
Peer Outreach for Student Health (POSH) educators are paid student leaders who support campus health and wellness initiatives through peer-to-peer education. Working closely with Health Promotion staff, POSH team members provide outreach and facilitate programming on topics such as sexual health, healthy relationships, and alcohol and other drugs
Student Wellness Advisory Group (SWAG)
The Student Wellness Advisory Group (SWAG) serves as a vital link between the student body and Campus Health Services (CHS). Its overarching purpose is to provide CHS leadership with valuable student feedback and insight on current services and programs. SWAG members help identify and communicate the most pressing student health concerns by gathering input from their peers and presenting their findings to CHS leadership. In addition, they play an active role in reviewing the Student Health Insurance Plan and contribute to educating the student body about available health services, wellness programs, and insurance options offered through CHS.
Internships
Health Promotion offers unpaid internships for students looking to gain public health experience and knowledge. If you are interested in an internship, return this completed Intern Application, along with your resume and cover letter to Melissa Griffin.
