PEP Advising

NAU students enrolled in a professional education program are assigned professional academic advisors through University Advising.

Academic Advisors guide and support students every step as they progress to graduation. Advisors help students with selecting a major, building a degree pathway, selecting classes each term, and navigating opportunities or resources that support their goals.

Find your advisor

Students are assigned an advisor upon admission who specializes in their major area of study.  If a student changes their major their advisor may change to reflect this new direction.

Undergraduate students

Every undergraduate student at NAU is assigned to an Academic Advisor.

  • Find your advisor’s name and contact information in your LOUIE account.
  • Review the menu items under “Talk to an Advisor” for more details on how to schedule an appointment, drop-in, or reach out for help.

Graduate students

Depending on your graduate program, you might be matched with an Academic Advisor, a Faculty Mentor, or a Graduate Coordinator or sometimes a combination of these roles.

  • Graduate students enrolled in a professional education program should first check for an Academic Advisor assigned in their LOUIE account.
  • If one is not listed, refer to the Academic Advising for Graduate Students webpage for details on connecting with your academic advisor or program coordinator.

Connect with your advisor

Advisors are available in-person, by email, phone, and Teams. For the most up-to-date information on your advisor’s availability, log into the NAU appointment planner for appointment and drop-in days, times, and locations.

How to reach your advisor
