Leading to Licensure
Northern Arizona University (NAU) offers multiple programs to prepare teachers and school leaders, counselors, and psychologists to meet Arizona’s certification requirements.
Graduates of NAU’s programs meeting state licensure requirements are provided with an Institutional Recommendation (IR) upon completion of the program. NAU graduates are highly sought after for positions in schools and districts. NAU Professional Education Programs (PEP) are nationally accredited through the Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation (CAEP) programs. NAU’s programs leading to licensure are also approved by the Arizona State Board of Education.
