Yellow Bike Program
The Yellow Bike Program is a Green Fund initiative on NAU’s campus. The program provides an essential service for students, staff, and faculty: an environmentally and socially sustainable transportation option. The Yellow Bike Program reduces NAU’s carbon footprint and cultivates a better understanding of the benefits and ease of alternate transportation which cultivates a culture of sustainability. It provides more equitable transportation opportunities by providing free access to bikes. Increased use of bicycles as a result of the Yellow Bike Program reduces traffic congestion on campus, which reduces carbon emissions and leaves more open physical space on campus.
Individuals can rent a yellow bike for up to seven days, which will also include a lock, key, and helmet. The Yellow Bike Program runs on a first-come, first serve basis. More information about renting a Yellow Bike can be found through NAU Campus Services.
