Here we go!
We have begun scheduling the first Steering Committee and Working Group meetings for the fall. We have aligned the working groups with the Environmental Caucus Action Teams: Energy, Landscaping/Water, Resilience/Justice, Transportation, Waste/Dining. The Environmental Caucus will also be working with members from the Sustainable Campus Ecosystem Initiative (SCEI or “SKY”) steering committee to further ingrain sustainability in Academics and Research through this plan.
Green Fund provides funding for CAP
With all the challenges that COVID-19 has brought, the student-led Green Fund stepped up to the ask of the university and voted to fund the Climate Action Planning effort on April 24, 2020. It is with urgency, innovation and leadership that they took this step. Planning will begin this summer!
