The Northern Arizona University Statement on Drug Free Schools and Campuses

Northern Arizona University is committed to providing a healthy educational environment, consistent with university policies and free from unlawful acts. NAU must certify compliance with The Drug-Free Workplace Act (41 U.S.C. § 8102, et seq.), The Safe and Drug-Free Schools and Communities Act (20 U.S.C. § 7101, et seq.), and the Drug and Alcohol Abuse Prevention Regulations (34 C.F.R. 86, et seq.). As such, the university is taking this opportunity to inform all faculty and staff of the health risks, university policies, university and legal sanctions, and the prevention/intervention programs associated with alcohol and other drug abuse. The links on this page will direct you to that information. Employees are encouraged to review these materials in order to make educated and informed decisions related to alcohol and drugs.
