Spring 2026 Dates
Thursday, March 5 @ 2-7pm at the NAU Office of Inclusion in the Fieldhouse (part of the Thrifty Threads event)Tuesday, April 21 @ 11am-3pm at Cline Library Maker Lab
Repair Lab
The Repair Lab is a collaboration between the NAU Office of Sustainability and Cline Library. The goal of these events is to repair items that would normally end up in the trash, thereby extending their use and reducing the amount of items going to a landfill.
Our first event in October 2025 focused on repairing clothes. Our 20 volunteers worked nonstop for 4 hours to repair nearly 100 items of clothing, including Louie the Lumberjack’s mascot costume!
Our Spring 2026 events will also be focused on clothing repair. For future Repair Labs, we hope to expand by repairing items such as appliances, electronics, jewelry, bikes, and more!
Check out our Spring 2026 dates and sign up to volunteer!!
Note: This program was formerly known as NAU Fix-It Clinics.
Bring your clothes to one of our events to get them repaired!
Do bring clothes that need basic repairs, such as holes, tears, basic hemming, and zipper or button replacements.
Don’t bring clothes that need extensive tailoring.
Do bring up to 3 articles of clothing per Repair Lab event.
Don’t bring a whole bag of clothes, keep it at 3 items per person.
Note that we may not be able to repair every item. Our volunteers will assess each item to determine whether it can be repaired.
