Green Transportation Week

Join us for a week of fun, sustainability, and community building!

Dates: August 31 – September 10, 2026

What is Green Transportation Week?

No car, no problem! Learn all about sustainable transportation options at NAU and around Flagstaff by attending events happening throughout the week.

Attend events and win raffle prizes!

Attend events and enter the prize raffle! Each Green Transportation Week event has a unique QR code, scan it to enter the raffle. Raffle winners will be chosen at the end of the week. Prizes this year include:

  • An electric bike
  • NAU merch
  • Free trips with NAU Outdoor Adventures
    • Winners will be able to choose from any of the Fall 2026 trips, including: Paddle and Paint, Jacks Canyon Climbing, Antelope Canyon, Grand Canyon Hike, and Coconino Mountain Bike

Intro to Bike Maintenance Class

Tuesday, September 1 @ 4:00 – 6:00pm

HLC, Campus Rec, Outdoor Adventure Center

In the intro to bike maintenance course, we will cover the ABC’s for bike checks and give you the skills to make sure your bike is functional and safe. Please feel free to bring your own to work on.

NAU staff and faculty: Earn HIP points when you bike, scooter, walk, carpool, or take the bus/shuttle to campus this week! Log into your Personify Health portal to join the challenge.

Mountain Line Bus Rider Training

Thursday, September 10 @ 1:00

Mountain Line Downtown Connection Center

Participants learn how to board, ride, disembark, transfer from bus to bus, load and unload bikes from the bike racks, and interpret the Mountain Line map and schedule. This event requires pre-registration.
