Green Transportation Week Raffle Prizes
Project Summary:
Green Transportation Week is a comprehensive campus event designed to actively reduce Scope 3 emissions by incentivizing sustainable commuting habits among Northern Arizona University students, staff, and faculty. Spearheaded by the Office of Sustainability in partnership with transit and outdoor organizations, this initiative educates the campus on the climate impacts of daily travel. To systematically overcome barriers to sustainable transit, the project distributes high-impact raffle prizes—including electric bicycles, bus passes, secure locks, and specialized walking footwear—to participants who log alternative commutes. By directly equipping the community with necessary gear, the event successfully shifts behaviors away from single-occupancy vehicles and significantly lowers the university’s carbon footprint.
