Fall 2025 Dates
Clothing Fix-It Clinic Tuesday, October 14, 11am- 3pm, Cline LibraryFix-It Clinics
The goal of Fix-It Clinics is to repair items that would normally end up in the trash, thereby extending their use and reducing the amount of items going to a landfill.
We are piloting this program in Fall 2025. This is modeled after, and in consultation with, the City of Flagstaff Sustainability Office’s Fix-It Clinic program. Our goal is to extend this program onto the NAU campus to reach NAU students, staff, and faculty.
Join us for our Fall 2025 clinic!
- Date and Time: Tuesday, October 14 from 11am – 3pm
- Location: The Maker Lab at Cline Library
- What can I get fixed? This is a clothing focused clinic. NAU students, staff, and faculty are invited to bring their clothing in need of repairs. We will accept clothing that needs to be fixed (such as clothes with holes, missing buttons or zippers, etc.) but we will not do tailoring or alterations.
- How much does it cost? Nothing, it’s completely free!
- How do I get my item fixed?
- Come to the Cline Library Maker Lab anytime between 11am – 3pm.
- You will fill out a card with information about your clothing item and what needs to be fixed. Then, you can either wait until a volunteer is available so you can consult with them, or you can leave and come back later to pick your item up.

Interested in volunteering?
We are currently recruiting volunteers for our Fall 2025 Fix-It Clinics that will focus on clothing repair (such as mending buttons, zippers, and rips). If you have sewing skills and would like to volunteer, reach out to Danielle at danielle.linthicum@nau.edu or fill out our volunteer interest form.
