Arizona GEAR UP is excited to welcome Minerva “Mini” Maestas as our new Financial Oversight Manager!
Mini was born in Mexico City and raised in Phoenix, Arizona. She graduated from Washington High School in Glendale, Arizona, and earned her bachelor’s degree in Accountancy from Arizona State University. With 25 years of experience in public, private, and governmental accounting, she brings extensive knowledge to our team.
Outside of her professional work, Mini is a proud mother of two. Her oldest is a 19-year-old Biology major at ASU, and her youngest is a 17-year-old high school senior. In her free time, Mini enjoys being active by participating in activities such as yoga, hiking, and golfing.
Mini shared that she is grateful to join a mission-driven program where she can contribute her financial experience while supporting work that creates real impact. We are thrilled to welcome her and look forward to all she will bring to our team.
