Arizona GEAR UP is proud to welcome our newest team member, Jasmine Dean. She joined GEAR UP in January 2022 as the new Middle Grade Program Manager, where she will work with project partners and middle grade programs throughout Arizona.
Jasmine brings over 13 years of experience in education, college readiness, and non-profit work to the Arizona GEAR UP Team. She is also no stranger to GEAR UP programming, previously working with the GEAR UP partnership grant at Arizona State University.
Jasmine has deep roots with the Arizona community, being a 3rd generation Phoenician and attending ASU herself—earning a bachelor’s degree in public relations and general studies and a Master’s in postsecondary education.
Jasmine is excited to begin her role as Middle Grade Program Manager because it gives her the opportunity to positively impact students across Arizona.
“I look forward to being able to support middle grade students at more of a state-wide level. I want to bring more opportunities to more students, and I believe this is possible in this role,” Jasmine said.
In addition, Jasmine loves spending time with her family and traveling across the world. In her free time, she loves watching movies and has an extensive DVD collection. One thing Jasmine is known for is that she makes a fantastic banana pudding.
We look forward to working with Jasmine and are excited for what the future holds.
