Elizabeth Martinez, a Psychology major and Honors student, coauthored the article Interns-to-Scholars: First-Generation Success Beyond the Classroom with her faculty mentor within the Interns-to-Scholars program, Associate Professor T. Ann Huffman, professor in the Department of Psychological Sciences and the WA Franke College of Business, co-authored with NAU alumni, Kristine Olson, the article, “The relationship between mentor support experiences and STEM graduate student career optimism” published in Career Development International. Dr. Patch’s Research on Maternal Recall Published in Maternal-Fetal & Neonatal Medicine

Emily Patch, Ph.D., and coauthor Eileen McGrath, Ph.D., of the University of Arizona College of Medicine, had their original research exploring mothers’ recall of infant data and maternal health published in The Journal of Maternal-Fetal & Neonatal Medicine.  The authors found that, while mothers were accurate in their recollection of gestational age and infant birth weights, they were much less so in reporting their own medical diagnoses.  The findings of this research can help medical professionals communicate key information… Read more
