Dr. Emily Patch Presents at Sedona International Film Festival

Dr. Patch’s Research on Maternal Recall Published in Maternal-Fetal & Neonatal Medicine

Emily Patch, Ph.D., and coauthor Eileen McGrath, Ph.D., of the University of Arizona College of Medicine, had their original research exploring mothers’ recall of infant data and maternal health published in The Journal of Maternal-Fetal & Neonatal Medicine.  The authors found that, while mothers were accurate in their recollection of gestational age and infant birth weights, they were much less so in reporting their own medical diagnoses.  The findings of this research can help medical professionals communicate key information… Read more

Professor Steven Barger and three graduates of the Master of Arts in Psychological Sciences program, Timothy Broom, Michael Esposito, and Taylor Lane, had their manuscript” Is subjective well-being independently associated with mortality? Dr. Ann Huffman Elected Chair of APA Board of Convention and Affairs

Ann Huffman, Ph.D., of the Department of Psychological Sciences, began her term as Chair of the Board of Convention Affairs of the American Psychological Association (APA) on January 1, 2020.  Dr. Huffman has been a member of the Board since 2017 and was elected Chair in 2019.  The Board is responsible for planning and executing the organization’s annual convention, which last year welcomed over 10,000 attendees from more than fifty countries.  At the 2019 convention, the Board initiated “Psych-Sciences in 3”… Read more
