WordPress Update: August 23rd

Hello, WordPress users!

We wanted to provide you with an update from the Web Team regarding the topics covered at the last Unit Web Coordinator meeting on August 3rd. Since that meeting considerable progress has been made relating to site launches, theme updates, training changes, and mass migration. August 14th Release

On August 14th we deployed an update to the NAU Marketing theme. The changes were small and focused on updating the styling. If you see any issues, please use our feedback form to let us know.

Theme Styling

  • Removed capitalization from h1 tags.
  • Reduced font size of headers and paragraph text.
  • Reduced spacing between sections.
  • Reduced the max size of banner images.
  • Hid the CTA buttons on request info pages and forms.

August 7th Release

On August 7th we pushed a new release for the Enterprise and Marketing themes. In addition to the theme changes, there were some small upgrades to the NAU Core plugin. The changes our outlined below. If you experience any issues, please report them using our feedback form.

  • Added call to action buttons in the second nav.
  • Expanded the styling of desktop header to stick (fixed) while scrolling.

Unit Web Coordinator Meeting: 8/3/18

On Friday, August 3rd, we had our most recent Unit Web Coordinator meeting, in which each unit’s Web Coordinator is given updates about the WordPress efforts, has the opportunity to ask questions of our team, and can discuss progress of their sites.

WordHerd Status Update: 7/25

Hello, WordPress users!

We wanted to provide you with an update from the Web Team regarding the WordPress mass migration effort, often referred to as the WordHerd migration.

Over the last month we have spent considerable time refining the efforts of WordHerd’s migration process in order to provide the cleanest and best-looking results possible for migrated sites. UWC Meeting 7/6/2018

    • After some complications at the beginning of the WordHerd process, we will not be meeting the August 1st deadline as cleanly as we would like. Furthermore, there are sites that are being supported by Lipman Hearne that will require more time to be completed.
