On 7/20/18, we launched the following tools across the stage.wp.nau.edu and live nau.edu WordPress networks in hopes of increasing efficiency when working on large sites and pages.
Media Replace Tool
The Media Replace Tool is a plugin we’ve tested and added in hopes of saving users time when updating/replacing existing files on their site. With this tool you can quickly replace any file on your site with a new version or new file altogether. This tool takes it one step further and updates all existing links of the old file with a link of the new file, hopefully saving users from scouring their site for hard to find files and links. Toolbar Publish Tool
The Toolbar Publish Tool was added to help users work efficiently within large pages that may require many scrolls to reach specific content. A “Publish/Update” button was added to toolbar located at the top of the editor window that appears when working within a post or page. This should save users from scrolling to the top of their page in order to press the Publish, Update, Preview buttons.
