What is Open Enrollment? Accordion Closed
Open Enrollment is your yearly opportunity to change your benefit selections without experiencing a Qualified Life Event (QLE), such as the birth of a child or marriage.
When is Open Enrollment? Accordion Closed
Open Enrollment begins on Monday October 28th and continues through November 15th.
Can I change my benefits outside of Open Enrollment? Accordion Closed
You can only change your benefits outside of Open Enrollment if you experience a Qualified Life Event (QLE) such as the birth of a child or marriage.
If you experience a QLE during the year, be sure to contact the Arizona Department of Administration (ADOA) within 31 days of the event or you will need to wait until the next Open Enrollment period to make changes to your benefits.

Changes for 2025
Are the premiums for the NAU BCBSAZ PPO increasing? Accordion Closed
The monthly premiums for the NAU BCBSAZ PPO will increase 9.5%.
Are there any plan changes the NAU BCBSAZ PPO? Accordion Closed
To minimize the premium increase, the in-network deductible will increase $100 individual /$200 family and the employee coinsurance will increase to 25%. There is no change in the in-network out-of-pocket maximum of $1,000 individual /$2,000 family.

Are there any changes to the State of AZ Triple Choice Plans? Accordion Closed
There are no plan changes, and the monthly premium remains the same.
Are there any changes to the Dental and Vision Plans? Accordion Closed
No, there are no plan changes. The dental premiums will remain the same but the vision premiums are increasing slightly.

You do not need to re-enroll this year unless you want to make changes to your benefits.
What happens if I do not re-enroll in benefits during Open Enrollment? Accordion Closed
If you do not make changes to your benefits during Open Enrollment your current benefit selections will carry over to 2025.

You do not need to act this year unless you want to make changes to your benefits.
When are my benefit changes effective? Accordion Closed
Any changes you make to your benefits during Open Enrollment will be effective January 1, 2025.
How do I make changes to my benefit selections through ADOA? Accordion Closed
Retirees who want to make changes to their benefits (including the NAU BCBSAZ PPO) will be required to make those changes online through the ADOA Retiree Self Service Y.E.S Portal.

Arizona Retirement System (ASRS) Plans
Am I eligible to enroll in the ASRS health care plans? Accordion Closed
Yes, the ASRS offers medical insurance, dental insurance, and a prescription drug discount card program for retirees and their qualified dependents.
