Todd received his doctoral degree in 2015 and accepted a position with the U.S. Geological Survey’s Southwest Biological Science Center in Flagstaff, Arizona. As a member of the Gehring Lab, Todd’s research focus was plant and soil ecology, and he investigated the influence of plant genetic identity and habitat structure on arthropods. Todd’s research interests include the effects of litter architecture and chemistry on soil invertebrates, understory plant communities, and ecosystem processes (e.g., moisture dynamics and nutrient cycling).
