1099 Reporting

Who will receive a 1099?

Independent contractors who performed a service for Northern Arizona University (NAU) will be issued a 1099-NEC when, during the calendar year, total payments meets or exceeds the IRS reporting threshold of $600.

A 1099-MISC will be issued when total payments during the calendar year meets or exceeds the IRS reporting threshold of $600 for the following:

    • Rents
    • Prizes and awards
    • Other income payments
    • Medical and health care payments
    • Payments to an attorney

When were 1099s mailed?

All 1099 forms were mailed out in late January. Please allow 7-10 business days for receipt, after which don’t hesitate to contact the Comptroller’s Office.
