Student Employment processes and resources are designed to prepare students for the realities of the 21st-century workforce. NAU uses career readiness competencies, identified by the National Association of Colleges and Employers (NACE), as a foundation to ensure a successful transition into the workplace.
How we can help you
The Student Employment Program at NAU, applies student development theory, career development theory, and contemporary research to:
- assist students in finding and securing employment that meets their goals and needs,
- facilitate competency-based training and professional development opportunities for current student employees to ensure their career-readiness upon graduation, and
- provide on-campus employers with the guidance and tools to create meaningful experiences for student employees throughout the student employment life-cycle, including: recruitment, selection, onboarding, training, professional development, performance management, recognition and classification.
