External Group Events

External groups are always welcome to inquire about availability, and we would be happy to host your event! The venue rental, labor, and equipment costs for an event will be billed after the conclusion of the event. You can request a cost estimate to get a ballpark idea of what your event will cost before confirming your reservation. Commercial and non-NAU events will require specific contracts and must meet Northern Arizona University’s insurance requirements. For Non-Profit groups, a 20% discount is applied to the venue rental cost.

All external groups are required to reach out to Auditoria@nau.edu directly for booking inquiries. Please review the contracting details below as well as the technical specifications for the venue space you are interested in prior to requesting a reservation.

Contracting Details

    • External events are conducted through a Facility Use Agreement (FUA) with NAU Contracting.
    • Auditoria is currently offering venue rental and event support services.
    • We are not currently purchasing talent, artists, speakers, attractions, or touring productions on behalf of renters.
    • Clients are responsible for securing their own performers, presenters, and entertainment.
    • If additional equipment is needed outside of what is outlined in the Tech Specs, clients are responsible for the rental agreement and costs of said equipment.
    • Parking permits, lot rental, and visitor information can be found on NAU Parking. Inquires can be sent to Ask.Parking@nau.edu.
    • Any catering must be coordinated through NAU Sodexo.

Auditoria 2024 Rate Sheets

Ardrey Memorial Auditorium Accordion Closed

  • Seats 1,300 in total! There are roughly 900 seats on the orchestra level, and 400 seats in the balcony.
  • Best suited for large ensemble performances, or events with an expected attendance of over 250.

Kitt Recital Hall Accordion Closed

  • Kitt Recital Hall seats 250.
  • Acoustically spectacular space for small ensembles or solo artists – no monitors or sound reinforcement needed!

Kitt Atrium (Receptions) Accordion Closed

  • The Kitt Atrium refers to the open lobby space just outside Kitt Recital Hall.
  • This space can be used as a reception venue if you are interested in adding on catering to an event you already have booked in Ardrey Auditorium or Kitt Recital Hall.
  • 7 high-top cocktail tables as well as pipe and drape can be used.

Ashurst Hall Accordion Closed

  • Ashurst Hall is a beautiful ballroom-style venue with a stage located in historic Old Main.
  • Banquet-style set-up can seat up to 200 attendees maximum; Theater-style seating can fit up to 250 attendees maximum.
  • A widely adaptable room for varying setups: small performances, catered banquets, lectures, dances, and wedding receptions, etc.
