Hello, WordPress users!
We wanted to provide you with an update from the Web Team regarding the topics covered at the last Unit Web Coordinator meeting on September 7th. Since that meeting 28 more sites have been launched into WordPress, including the University Marketing and Lipman Hearne revamped College of Arts and Letters site. The Site Migration Scorecard is up to date and there are now a total of 101 WordPress sites that are live! Some minor bug fixes and enhancements to the theme have occurred, including incorporation of the new logo, with more improvements coming soon. The initial feedback from SiteImprove reports with the Library beta group has been positive, and the next group under the VPTLDA Unit Coordinator is being setup currently.
All remaining 192 Ektron sites have been mass migrated by WordHerd and had initial QA completed. The effort to build the new WordPress platform has continued to move forward with the production environment currently being finalized. Launches of initial mass migrated sites to that platform will occur by the first week of October and ramp up throughout the month. We will be providing an update to all of these topics at the next Unit Web Coordinators meeting scheduled for Friday, October 5th, and will continue to post communications to the nau.edu/web website. If you have any questions around this message or any other WordPress-related concerns, please contact us via email at WCM-Support@nau.edu.
Thank you all for your patience throughout this process, and we look forward to working with you further as we enter the final stages of this migration!
Regards,
The WordPress Team
