ways to improve your intellectual wellness:- Be proactive and ask for help or seek resources before you start to struggle in a class..
- Identify a faculty or staff mentor on campus.
- Schedule office hours in a class that inspires you or in a class where you a struggling.
- Form study groups with your classmates to help learn material faster and to have peers help hold you accountable.
- Seek opportunities outside of the classroom to expand your learning, such as museums, science centers, and the President's Speaker Series.

Intellectual wellness encourages a curiosity for life and the mindset of life-long learning. The intellectually well individual seeks out opportunities for mental stimulation whether it is learning a new skill, following creative passions or exploring opportunities for academic growth.

Academic success and support
- Academic Success Centers*: Receive academic support for over 100 classes through tutoring, supplemental instruction, and peer academic coaching.
- Learning Specialist*: Meet to develop a success plan, or receive help with academic skills such as time management, textbook reading, and test-taking.
- Cline Library*: Check out books, rent equipment like laptops and cameras, request documents from other universities, and find study spaces.
- Writing Commons*: Receive assistance during any stage of the writing process. Appointments are available both online and in person.
- Academic Advising*: Get assistance with degree selection, course selection and sequencing, resource and tool referral, enrollment, and policy interpretation.
- NAU Mentoring Programs*: The programs provide a guide who offers support and reflection during a time of personal growth and transition
- Student Support Services*: SSS serves first-generation, income-eligible, and students with disabilities to ensure success in college.
- The MakerLab: Includes an array of 21 MakerBot 3D printers – plus materials, tools, and electronics for you to explore your creativity.
- The Studios: Offers iMac & Dell Precision 3620 Engineering computers, multimedia production equipment, software, and a variety of production rooms.
- Graduate Test Prep*: Affordable instruction for GRE, GMAT, and LSAT testing.
- Undergraduate Research: Get involved with a research project to build skills, network, and work closely with faculty.
- First Year Seminar Program: This program serves as an entry point for NAU’s interdisciplinary Liberal Studies program, promoting students’ progression towards graduation.

- Employee Assistance and Wellness: Engage in consultations, workshops, and presentations designed to improve workplace performance and relations.
